토익 Part 2에서는 직접적인 질문(Do you know? / Is it~?)뿐 아니라, 간접적인 형태로 질문 의도를 드러내는 문장도 자주 등장합니다. 이러한 문장들은 겉보기에는 단순한 평서문처럼 보이지만, 실제로는 질문이 내포되어 있어 응답자가 정보를 제공해야 하는 경우가 많습니다.

• 의문사의 위치가 문장 중간에 등장하며, 어순이 평서문 구조를 따름
   (→ 직접 의문문과 어순이 다름)
• 주로 정중하거나 부드러운 말투를 만들기 위해 사용됨
